- Fancied players make it to the semifinals of AITA Rs 1 lakh Women’s tennis

On a day when the matches went with the form, all the four top seeds marched into semifinals of the PBI-CSE AITA Rs 1 lakh prize money Women’s tennis tournament played under the aegis of KSLTA here on Thursday.
Leading the march of seeds was top seed Soha Sadiq of Karnataka who defeated statemate Srinidhi S in straight sets 6-2, 6-1. While the No.2 seed Samhitha Sai (TN) and third seed Akanksha Nitture (Maharashtra) registered easy wins, fourth seed Pooja Ingale, also of Maharashtra, registered a comeback victory after losing the first set.
