Shivekar in line for double crown at Cancer Caregivers Club Cup Rs 1.25 Lakh AITA women's Tennis Tournament

Pune, April 7: It will be an all Maharashtra clash for the title as top-seeded Aastha Dhargude will take on Pareen Shivekar in the women's singles finals at the Rs.1.25 lakh Cancer Caregivers Club Cup AITA women's Tennis Tournament being organized by Deccan Gymkhana club and Cancer Caregivers Club and played on the Deccan Gymkhana tennis court.

In the singles semifinals, top-seeded Aastha Dargude spent 1 hour and 55 minutes to get past fourth-seeded Sahan Shetty of Karnataka 6-4, 1-6, 6-3

In the second semifinals, second-seeded Pareen Shivekar also of Maharashtra stopped the winning run of fifth-seeded Simran Kejriwal 7-5, 6-4

Mumbai girl Shivekar also put herself in line for a double crown as she won the doubles title partnering Harsha Sai Challa . In doubles finals, Shivekar and Challa scored a straight set win over Sindhu Janagam and Tanasha Khandpur 6-4, 6-2
