Shekar Veeraswamy of KSLTA did Karnataka proud once again when he captured a golden double in the AITA Wheelchair Men’s Rs 1 lakh tournament in New Delhi. In a thrilling final, Shekar defeated Karthik Karunakaran of Tamil Nadu 4-6, 6-4, 10-3 to wrest the singles title and later joined hands with Balachandar of Tamil Nadu to capture the doubles title beating Tamil Nadu’s Karthik and Mariappan in straight sets 6-4, 6-2.
