R.T Narayana Memorial Trust along with KSLTA is going to start tennis tournament from February 15th

The AITA national series R.T. Narayan Memorial Cup (Under 16) may begin here on February 15. The event, to be held in the memory o, a famous tennis patron late R.T Narayan, The tournament is going to be jointly conducted by the R.T Narayana Memorial Trust which is run by his daughter Ramya, actor and former Member of Parliament and the KSLTA.

“My father was generous and magnanimous, and served lots of individuals,” Ramya told a press gathering on Thursday. “I don’t know many of them. However when they reveal these stories and recognises the help, that satisfies me and it makes me happy. I wish to continue that history. Money shouldn’t be hindrance for any player.”

KSLTA secretary C.S. Sunder Raju said the event was a means of thanking Narayan.

“His desire for people was not to you need to be any another organization however the best. However for him we wouldn’t have experienced that perspective.

“He believed the Under 16 degree was the most crucial for change from the junior to some pro.”

Top people within the tournament includes Dhakshineswar Suresh, ranked No. 3 in India, and Abhimanyu Vannemreddy (4) among boys and Humera Shaik (7) and Shivani Amineni (9) one of the girls. The girls’ and boys’ winners will get cash prizes of Rs. 15,000 each as well as the runners up Rs. 10,000. Throughout the event, Ms. Ramya gave away a check for Rs. 1 lakh to B.R Nikshep a promising youngster from the state.
