Srikar to clash with Sanchit; Mahika meets Varunya for title

Bengaluru, 02 September, 2021   

Srikar Doni halted the march of giant killer Raghu Vijay Sumukh to set up a title clash with Sanchit Sudhir Rao in the Boys category of the FSA AITA Talent Series-3 U-14 tennis tournament held under the aegis of KSLTA and conducted by Fortune Sports Academy here on Wednesday.

Raghu who had felled sixth seed in his opening round, today sent the top seed Leethaeesh S Kombil in a grueling quarterfinal encounter 9-7 before succumbing to the fifth seed Srikar 4-9 in the semifinals. Sanchit scored an easy 9-5 win over 8th seed Kristo Babu in the other last four encounter.  

Meanwhile in the Girls category, top seed Mahika Reddy maintained her good run to enter the finals with a 9-2 victory over third seed Dharani Dhanyata. In the final, she will take on second seed Varunya CN who brushed aside the challenge of Adya Chaurasia 9-1.
